We are excited to announce that Andy Mercier, President & CEO of Merchants Food Service, was honored with the 2019 IFDA Cornerstone Award at the IFDA Distribution Solutions Conference. This award honors an industry leader who has given above and beyond what is expected and achieved a positive, lasting impact on IFDA’s success.

IFDA’s President and CEO Mark S. Allen shared a few thoughts on Mercier’s tenure during the ceremony:

Since joining the Board, Andy has provided a strong, steady voice and represented the industry well.

Andy was IFDA’s Chairman at a critical time as we were embarking upon our first-ever strategic plan. This was no easy task as he had to ensure a sound process was put in place that incorporated perspective from ALL distributors.

With Andy’s guidance, the strategic plan has ensured that we are executing against your aspirations for IFDA and has allocated new funding for our efforts in Government relations, insights and research and workforce development.

In addition, we have strengthened our ability to tell the industry’s story and raise our collective profile by investing in new communications capabilities.
